Trading Platform

Today’s investor uses computerized financial software , called a trading platform, that when connected to the internet, can monitor accounts, manage trades and help with market analysis tools to round out a portfolio.

By logging in their individual stocks and investments, the investor can chart their progress, by the hour, by the day, or by the year.  A wide variety of online brokers offer free account tools based on maintaining a minimum balance or handling a minimum number of trades on the account.  Electronic trading platforms usually stream real time, live market data on prices for trading, making modern day investors as up to the minute as possible.
