A Review of Advanced Currency Markets (ACM) SA

Introduction

Advanced Currency Markets (ACM) is a company owned by Swissquote bank. It operates a market maker model and provides online financial and trading services. It has its headquarters in Gland (VD), Switzerland and it is regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).

Asset Index

The assets offered for trade as well as the spreads on currency pairs will differ based on the type of account as well as the initial deposit made by the trader. The table below shows the complete asset index and the spreads for each currency pair:

Trading Platforms

Four trading platforms are offered by ACM SA:

a) Advanced Trader – This is a Java based platform that provides its users with advanced analysis and charting tools. This proprietary desktop application is fully customizable and is provided as a downloadable software at no cost to the trader.

b) Web Trader 2 – This is the web-based platform that gives traders the ability to trade easily in the FX market without requiring any downloads or installation. It works on any web browser that is compatible with Windows PC, Mac or Linux SO. The trader must have JAVA installed on his PC for this to work properly.

c) Mobile Trader – This mobile trading platform deploys well on any WAP-enabled mobile device. It comes with special app support for iPhones and iPads and enables users to manage their accounts in real time from any location.

d) Swissquote MT4 Software – This platform gives users of Meta Trader 4 the opportunity of utilizing Swissquote’s liquidity network as well as all the trader-friendly features of the MT4 platform, all in one place.

Deposits and Withdrawals

The following methods of transaction are available to traders to make deposits and withdraw funds on ACM SA:

a)      Bank Wire Transfer

b)      Credit Card.

Minimum Deposit

For a mini account, the minimum deposit allowed is 1,000 USD. For the standard account, the minimum deposit is 10,000 USD, and for the premium account, the minimum deposit is 25,000 USD.

Maximum Deposit

There is no maximum deposit limit. Traders can deposit as much as they can muster into their trading accounts.

Withdrawal Limit

There are no withdrawal limits on ACM SA.

Conditions for deposit and withdrawal

The necessary condition for making a deposit on AC-Market is that the name on the credit card being used to make the payment must match the name on the Swissquote account. This ties the trader to the account and prevents unauthorized claims by a third party. The funds that are transferred from a bank account to the ACM trading account must emanate from an account whose name is the same as the account owner as written in the account opening form.
